Keep Hope Alive | Re-Elect Floyd “Buck” Jourdain Tribal Chairman

Jourdain Running Strong for Chairman

Red Lake Minnesota,
July 17, 2006

Chairman Floyd Jourdain is winding down his re-election campaign leading up to the July 19th tribal elections with a run around lower Red Lake. Jourdain, a distance runner, and two-time Twin Cities Marathon finisher, will cross all four reservation districts, and end his 4-day 50 mile run in Ponemah, Minnesota at the point where upper and lower Red Lake conjoin.

In 2004, he ran a similar route which took him 7 days to complete. “It’s a good way to show my commitment, and sacrifice to the Red Lake people” said Jourdain.

His run will conclude on the eve of the election Tuesday night.
